In 1999 to celebrate the centennial of our organization, UWC member, Betty Laird, compiled and wrote an excellent history, Tea and Empathy. Copies of the book are no longer available in print.Betty has approved us to create an electronic copy of the book,
because the book does not exist currently in electronic or print form.
The book has been scanned and is available by clicking one of the two images shown below. The text is readable. The great photos in the book do not show well in the scanned copy. Blank pages have been eliminated. File size limitations required that the book be segmented into two parts: main text and bibliography/index.The main text must be downloaded before the file can be opened. Follow the on-screen instructions.
